Born in Wolverhampton, UK in 1976, Sarah Hatton completed her BFA at Queens University and received her MFA from the University of Calgary. Her paintings are mental snapshots of a place in time. As soon as the moment becomes past tense, it imprints itself in the mind as black and white: certainty. From that point on, the details of the moment erode, degrade, and memory kicks in.
