Two artists explore the pace of life at very different speeds. deMooy gets down to a cellular level with abstract but strangely familiar popping patterns and shapes crisply forming strange inward landscapes. They are slow and contemplative and at the same time like quick, witty visual formulas for surviving the complexities of our daily existence. de Sousa depicts moving landscape that is slowed down. She toys with how we actually contemplate our daily existence and the reality of that is a blurred image. Her images pause and cause us to pause as well.
