Rodolfo Zagert

Rodolfo Zagert was born at Eldorado, Argentina in 1950. He studied Art and Architecture in Buenos Aires. At the age of 19 Lirolay Gallery, in Buenos Aires, featured him in his first individual exhibition as painter. He continued his University Education in Germany as scholarship holder devoting his time to keep on learning Art and Architecture from 1972 to 1976. Later he decided to remain in Germany working as architect and painter. He moved to Palma de Mallorca in 1991. His work as architect was focussed on the restoration of historic buildings. At same time his work as a painter was exhibited internationally.
In 1999 he received the prestigious Ciudad de Palma Award to Architecture because of his restoration of a 16th century palace. His paintings are in many private collections and public institutions in the Americas and throughout Europe. Since 2006 he has shared his time between Mallorca and Buenos Aires.
